Come and Sing

Saturday 18 April 2026

St Mary's Church, Horsham

Join us on Saturday, 18 April 2026 for the opportunity to sing Haydn’s wonderful work The Creation.  This will include a full afternoon rehearsal with the professional soloists and Hastings Philharmonic Orchestra, and the formal concert performance in the evening.

Marcio da Silva, who took up the baton for BCS in 2021, is a dynamic and experienced Music Director who has a wealth of knowledge to lead this Come & Sing event.  He is the Founder, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Hastings Philharmonic Orchestra (HPO), Music Director of Hastings Philharmonic Choir (HPC), a vocal coach, and a professional baritone.

(See here for the main Concert page)

Is this Come and Sing event for you?

Ideally participants should have some experience of singing in a choir and have sung Haydn's The Creation before, even if it was several years ago.  If you are a competent musician and can sightread but have not had the opportunity to perform this wonderful work before, you will certainly enjoy this experience!
