Join us on Saturday, 1st March 2025 for the opportunity to sing this amazing work, Puccini’s Messa di Gloria. The event consists of a workshop in the morning, rehearsal in the afternoon with Hastings Philharmonic Orchestra, and a formal performance to an audience in the evening.
The concert also includes Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 and Finlandia by Sibelius during which the choir will be singing This Is My Song (Finlandia Hymn).
Marcio da Silva, who took up the baton for BCS in 2021, is a dynamic and experienced Music Director who has a wealth of knowledge to lead this Come & Sing event. He is the Founder, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Hastings Philharmonic Orchestra (HPO), Music Director of Hastings Philharmonic Choir (HPC), a vocal coach, and a professional baritone.

Is this Come and Sing event for you?
Ideally participants should have some experience of singing in a choir and have sung the Puccini Messa di Gloria before, even if it was several years ago. If you are a competent musician and can sightread but have not had the opportunity to perform this wonderful work before, you will certainly enjoy this experience!
