Chestnut Tree House

BCS is pleased to be supporting CHESTNUT TREE HOUSE as its charity of the year, and will be raising money for it at our concerts.

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for Sussex and South East Hampshire which aims to provide the best quality of life for children and young people with life-threatening conditions aged from birth to 18 years – as well as for their siblings and parents.  Thanks to the support from local communities, these children and their families - who know they don’t have long together, have the opportunity to live life to the full and to say goodbye in the way that is right for them.  Over £4million a year is needed to provide such hospice care and very little of  this comes from central government - it comes from the generous donations it receives through fundraising, bequests, shops, the CTH lottery and volunteering.  Its statement of care reads: ‘We’re here for children and families every step of the way. Our aim is to make every day count. The good days, the bad days and the last days.’    Billingshurst Choral Society is proud to support CTH as its adopted charity this year.
